Mirabell Palace is located in the heart of Salzburg approx. 200 meters from the Salzach river bank. It was commissioned by Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau for his great love in 1606.
In the world famous Marble Hall, where already Mozart performed, weddings take place today as well as meetings, awards ceremonies, and concerts. Mirabell Palace is framed by a large park, the Mirabell Gardens, on three sides of the building. The gardens are open to the public since 1854 and considered one of Salzburg’s main sights since the second half of the 19th century.
